Are you a breakfast person? Some days I struggle with making myself eat first thing in the morning. I’m not always that way and I don’t know why it happens. It’s not because I was a porker the night before and pigged out to the max! I just wake up not feeling like eating. This shake is a soothing, yummy, nutrient packed way to start out the day – even on those mornings you have to force yourself to eat.
The great thing is that it takes seconds to make and only has a few ingredients. All of the ingredients are super healthy.
I like this protein powder. It mixes in very well and you never have a “grainy” texture. Beside Vanilla, I also love their chocolate flavor.
If you can’t have dairy, you could substitute an all-plant protein powder. I always keep a baggie of banana cubes, cut in about 1-inch chunks in the freezer.
I pack my Magic Bullet with the ingredients. The spinach will compact down and the lid will fit, believe me!
Add the milk. Less milk makes for a thicker shake. See – what did I tell you. It all fits!
Pulse away until all the ingredients are blended well. Besides having this for a quick, healthy, incredibly yummy breakfast, it also makes a wonderful before bedtime snack or a late afternoon pick-me-up.
Recipe
6 – 1 inch frozen banana cubes
1-2 scopes of protein powder
1 cup fresh spinach leaves
1/4 -1/2 cup Almond Milk (depending on desired thickness)
Pack all the ingredients in your blender. Pulse until everything is well blended. Serve immediately.
I hope you like it. Check back often for more luscious shakes.
